Due to the growing number of independent Harmony Kingdom collector clubs and events, The House of Peers was formed in May 1999 as an administrative body to facilitate communication between clubs and the company and to coordinate collector events and charitable activities. Four officers were appointed by Harmony Kingdom and subsequently elected by their peers: Iris Harbert (president/facilitator), Nancy Hix (treasurer/charity coordinator), Leanna Barron (secretary/events coordinator), and Joe McLaughlin (webmaster/Internet coordinator). Each is a Harmony Kingdom collector and volunteers time to The House of Peers. Elections are held annually. In addition, each independent club appoints two delegates to The House of Peers.
