The leatherback turtle is the world’s largest living reptile, weighing in at as much as 2000 pounds. These sea-faring wanderers are sometimes tagged with tracking systems to determine where they go. One such turtle, “Sherman,” is honored with an inscription. Another carving, “23 Sep,” is the date a small earthquake rocked the UK. The tentacles of an octopus twine around the coral – look inside the box to find the rest of him. The Version One leatherback carries a young turtle on its back. On the Version Two, the baby is replaced by a fish. |
