Peter has sculpted many frogs in his 20+ year carving career, but he has never created one that is practicing yoga! He says that frogs look like they are meditating, so "Soul Mate" required just a small "leap" of the imagination. He also said that the type of man he envisions doing yoga has a ponytail; hence, the braid. While sculpting this spring, talk of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London was inescapable. Keeping in the Olympic spirit, Peter added an historical inscription - 1948 - referring to the last time the games were in London.
