“Skip to My Lou”, Peter’s first ever amphibious fish box figurine, fits neatly into the category of odd and eccentric that he loves so much. The mudskipper can leave the water and walk across the beach if it feels like it. It actually uses its fins to move around in a series of skips. It can also catapult itself nearly two feet into the air and has the ability to breathe through its skin. The mudskipper grows to six inches and is found throughout tropical Africa, Asia and Australia. Its favorite food – crab – is portrayed within the interior. Along the lid are the inscriptions “mudskipper” and its anagram “musk dipper”. Bart, the Calvesbert family’s new Border terrier, also receives mention on the lid. |
