Having stayed up the entire night, Byron is too tired to fly so makes his way to the bus station where he hears a favourite song and decides on a southerly route: “I'm goin' where the sun keeps shinin', Through the pourin' rain, Goin where the weather suits my clothes.” He arrives at a parade of Carnation covered floats in the Southwest, where he spots a mysterious, beautiful bug. Knowing image is everything in America, he puts on his best bow tie and buys a corsage to impress her. But she disappears in the crowd. |
